The machine is a cnc router early 90's vintage with a Fanuc OM on it. It is the same model etc as the one I have now. When I bought it, it came from back east and was shipped on an air ride trailer. Is it that important to have an air ride trailer when hauling a cnc machine? The trailer I may have access to is used to haul excavating equipment and I am confident it is not air ride. The machine weighs 16,000 lbs and I will most likely hire a local crane to pick it so I'd like to save some on the actual hauling especially since it is so close.
I have moved and shipped these before and I am confident in my abilities to block the spindles and control pendant and get it ready for moving, just wanting opinions on the trailer situation.
